Milkyway over Birmingham,No2

Managed to get another image of the MW last night while out meteor watching in the back garden.

This one was taken on my normal tripod using the Nikon D90.It was pointing in the direction of a very bright street light which didn't help,but i am still pleased with the result.

30x30sec lights and 15x30sec darks.Stacked in DSS and processed in CS3.

Here is a friend of mines attempt at the same image as above,which i think is a lot better.

So there is hope when you know what you are doing in PS??

I think PS just needs plenty of practice. I have bought myself a book to read about it so I don't have to keep making it up as I go along. Haven't started it yet though.
