...you know those cables to put on the scope????? Control cables!!! Thats the ones. Using the scope tonight I felt very caggy handed, I was getting particulary frustrated, my arms arn't long enough to reach over the scope, then sometimes I'm having to reach under it, oooooh nightmare.....

There are called control cables aren't they?

That is as good a description as any Caz; they are readily available and well worth having.

"Slo-mo cables", the secret is to only worry where the RA one (the tracking one) is as you use it a lot more.

They can be a pain, but it does get easier. You tend 'know' where the cables are pointing after a while rather than have to fumble about looking for them.

The other option is to buy motors and a handset.......

Didn't the scope come with cables? Or just the knobs that fit straight on?

I have a 6" Orion Optics reflector bought about 10 years ago on an equatorial pillar mount.

Does anyone know if I could attatch(?) slow motion controls or if a CHEAP drive could be used?

Caz , I have a spare set of slow mo cables i think they are about 10" or so long if your interested they are a £5 plus postage cheap i think pm me if you want them.
