absolutely m27 time now. i just did one myself too yesterday, testing my new guide system.

Very nice. M27 is a good target right now. It and M57 are perhaps the brightest and highest planetary nebulae in the sky at the moment.

That's stunning. ISTR someone posting an image here with the outer shells very well defined and lots of detail in the core last year perhaps?

Hi,

Many thanks to everyone for your kind comments, it was taken last week during one of those rare nights for me were there were no clouds about and seeing was a bit more steady than usual so the star shapes are passable. Next time I try, it will be in narrow band, I have to use that old Atik 16IC mono, I don't have am Sii filter but will give it a go anyway.
