Release of Stellarium version 0.12.2 is now available.

New features: variable stars, re-packed star catalogs (Hipparcos and Tycho-2),

improvements for plugins, scripting engine and search tool. New version of the

Satellites plug-in (0.8.1) with features:

- automatic adding of new satellites on update from selected update sources;

by default, only new naked-eye satellites are auto-added

- automatic removal of satellites if they are no longer listed in the update

sources

- "user-defined" flag protecting satellites from update/removal

- satellites can be added to/removed from satellite groups from the GUI

- custom satellite groups can be defined

- the default satellite group names and satellite descriptions are translatable

Hi Ant,

There is no update package available, however once downloaded if you run the new installer you can choose a different directory so that you can run both versions if needed.

You can transfer your original stellarium ssystem.ini (spelt correctly) if you have edited it, to your new version, but be aware that there my be three copies generated and you will need to search & find to update.

Hi,thanks for the link I downloaded it but found that when I searched for some targets (M13 was one such target) the info for some targets wasn't displaying in the top left and it wouldn't slew the scope to those particular targets.I updated the Json files but that didn't cure it, I eventualy just did a restore on the computer back to version 0.12.1 and all was well again.
