Desiccant for camera rig

For imaging, I'm running a Starlight express 35 ccd and filter wheel, and on humid nights, get dew forming on the front of the camera window( ie not inside the chamber).

At the moment, I either wrap a dew strap around the camera, which sometimes works, or take the camera off the filter wheel, and dry the window with a hair dryer, which seems to last some time.

Has anyone played with pumping desiccated air through the filter wheel, would it work, is it worth the hastle?

I was considering filling a tube with desiccant, and pumping air up through it, and through a tube into the filter wheel using a 12v fish tank pump.

Any thoughts?
