Question about a filter I purchased

I recently bought a 2nd hand ehc (uhc) filter. There are no markings on the filter body and the coatings are very reflective just like a mirror. The effect in use is to darken the sky but it also turns everything green. HAVE I bought junk or is this the case with some ehc?

sounds pretty normal. it's probably a Chinese filter the same as skywatcher, orion, antares etc. try it on the dumbbell and see the difference. the reflective coating rejects most wavelengths which is how they work.
