A Forgotten Widefield Image.

Recommended Posts

This was taken earlier in the year on holiday in Fuerteventura and was a quick test just to see how much light pollution was about in the area I was imaging from. Needless to say it was pretty bad so I didn't follow up on it, but somehow I still quite like it.

It is only a single 15 second exposure at ISO 6400 with the Canon 15-85mm @ 15mm. Taken with the Canon 1100D. If only I had taken a few more shots I could have stacked them and got a bit more detail with less noise. Perhaps another time...

Just to give you an idea, other than the blue lights in the cabin (which were from a wireless router), the nearest lights were about 300 meters away, though they were huge sodium vapour floodlights. The lamp in the image was not actually switched on.
