Revelation focuser on Se

As the title says I brought a C8 to replace my 6Se tube. Now the C8 has a 2/1.15" revelation focuser attached.

I was wondering if anyone had used this or simular focuser on the se mount or should I swap to the 90' standard one?

Also what's the main advantage of such a focuser?

I've got a Revelation SCT focuser on the back of my Mak180Pro , even without the USB controller attached the level of finesse over the stock 'mirror moving' focus knob is beautiful , the ability to lock focus is a joy when imaging .

And as the 'mirror mover' is not affected there is plenty of focus range to use with a camera , diagonal , binoviewers etc .

Will not be taking it off anytime this century ...

I have a Baader Steeltrack on my 8SE, it's never been off once I fitted it. I've only touched the original focus knob a couple of times since then (it was probably turned by accident when moving the scope).

Do you use it as it is, or do you still put an diagonal in?

I use a diagonal on account of not having a long rubber neck.

Unfortunately I had to sell the focuser as it fouled the Se mount badly. Any suggestions on a different type of focuser upgrade?

How about a mount upgrade instead? I think almost anything besides the original parts that you put on the telescope will foul the SE mount.

A SkyTee-2 or HEQ5 should do it.
