Hello all! Just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Ron and have always been interested in the sky and what's out there. My wonderful family just got me my firsttelescope for my birthday (astroventure 70mm) and got to use it while on vacation in Door County. It was pretty amazing. I spent most of my time learning how to use it by viewing the moon, but did get a chance to see Saturn which was pretty awesome. I am finding that the more I use it the more questions I have so I look forward to learning from all of you.

Welcome Ron. You've come to the right place for friendly help and advice. Don't be afraid to ask anything, however basic it might seem. Everyone here has had to start somewhere.

Hi Ron welcome to the lounge,

and welcome to this great hobby, there is a lot to learn,

but this forum makes it a lot easier, you will enjoy your scope

more when you know what to look for and the best way to use

it, the fun part is getting out and observing, if you have a problem

just post your question in the relevant forum.
