It seems the cosmos is 'strutting it's stuff' over the Christmas period... couple of notable events...

21st December - Moon / Pleiades conjunction (occultation of some of it's major stars)

24th December - Mars reaches opposition and....

24th December (early morning) - Mars / Moon conjunction (grazing occultation for some)

30th December - Comet Tuttle reaching above magnitude 6 marches in to the same FOV as M33 (for some instruments) . Any takers.. you keen photographers ?

Comet Holmes ? Who knows

Yer an optimist, aincha? We're being promised snow. Lots of. I'll have to shovel my way to the back shed to get my scope out, if it clears up.

Nope I'm a realist :embarassed:

After over 2 weeks of wall to wall clouds I have everyright tobe :icon_jokercolor:
