Uneven secondary vanes

Recommended Posts

Lately, when I am focusing on a star, as I focus in on a star, my secondary vanes shadow is collapsing to one side. I am making sure that I am centering he star. Is this a case of bad collimation. If so, is it my secondary mirror that is out? Thanks .

The best way to check collimation.........

1. Make sure the scope is fully cooled down.

2. Defocus a liitle on a star that is EXACTLY in the center of the eyepiece

3. You should now see several concentric rings, if your scope is not collimated the rings will skew off to one side.
