I've owned most of the Nagler types and they are all good but some have their "quirks" that are worth knowing about. If the price is right then any of them are good buys.

Hmmmm I have yet to ever get that test done - Swamp Thing mentioned me and him testing the Nag, Pentax and ES 30mms all together and its depressing to see that was done in July 2013 and ever since I have hardly observed at all let alone had a night thats good enough to do any serious testing.

In fact its gone on so long the Pentax XW30mm is now out of production and the ES prices have, I would think because I haven't kept an eye on stuff, dropped.

Would you believe that apart from one night the ES and the XW have never actually been used.  

Sighs - by the time I get the test done we will all be wearing jet packs and driving hover cars
