Another white light attempt - 08.07.13

Hi everyone!

I've been out observing the Sun again, and I took some more pictures.

The main DSLR attempt wasn't quite as good as last time (I think the focus was just a minute bit off), but I decided to give my DMK a go on the Sun as well. There was some dust in the picture (I don't know why - I always replace the dust cap), but I just cut out the bits I needed. I then stuck them on top of the main black and white shot, and it looked ok.

Main shot: Canon EOS 1100d, 100 frames

I then converted it to mono in photoshop

DMK shot: About 10,000 frames taken, of which 2,000 stacked

I then combined them in photoshop, and darkened the DMK one a bit, to achieve the final result

As usual, any advice is always handy!

Very nice image of the sunspots. Unfortunately my laptop screen doesn't really do the others justice
