Zenithstar 80 APO shoe details

Hi I have a WO Zenithstar II 80mm Apo with a standard shoe.

The shoe has two mounting holes the rear one being clearly 1/4" The front one has been been "muntered" at some time with either a 1/4" screw into a 6mm thread or vice versa.

Does anyone know what that original hole was threaded with. I might be able to repair it with a tap?

Hi Frederick, the LXD75 is still going well.

Not the same scope but WO are usually consistent... On my Megrez 72 both the holes on the shoe are 1/4".

Many thanks, thats was what I suspected, I'll try a 1/4 UNC tap and see if I can tidy up the fixing.
