Advice sought on dual mount grab and go

Hi everyone

Some help/advice needed.

I've recently bought an IOptron smartEQ pro and will at some point get a carbon fibre tripod. This will hopefully be a lightweight travel mount system for taking on a plane. The problem I have is that I want to mount a camera/CCD onto a 500mm mirror lens (not a problem, done) and a finderguider onto a dual mount system that's lightweight. I'm scratching my head as to how I might do this. I was thinking that they could both mount to a dovetail (sideways on) but can't find anything with suitable mounting holes for the finder shoe and 1/4" lens collar.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Perhaps just a piece of flat alloy plate, suitably drilled, then bolted to the dovetail? It shouldn't need to be big so I expect you could find a bit. (I scavenged a bit of alloy to make a pizza shovel by strolling round the village looking in the hedge bottoms last week!)

Some dovetails, such as the Altair Astro ones, have long slots rather then drillings which make fixing assorted things rather easier.
