unfortunately not noctilucent clouds, but quite eerie at 1am

up late last night watching all things Glastonbury, had a quick peak outside before hitting the sack as all astronmers do and noticed a bright glow in east.It did not look high nough to be noctilucent clouds, but it looked quite eerie! not sure what was causing it, but it was around for quite a long time.

good call, certainly in the right direction Steve, lived at the same location most i my life and never seen the clouds look as odd as last night.

Had a very similar view here last night with the lights off the A11 uplighting the low clouds . . .

it would nice just for one night to see some noctilucent clouds, instead of the same boring clouds we see all year round!

i do use that one Steve, also i use this as well http://www.spaceclouds.info/ a little behind as well, unfortunately there is no substitute to going out and looking every night
