Hello from Cornwall

Recommended Posts

Hi all. I'm a newbie from Cornwall and just joined this fab site. I have really enjoyed reading some fabulous posts. I currently have a Skywatcher 8" reflector and a Canon 1100d camera to attach to this. I am a keen astronomer and enjoying getting into imaging. Have already got some great shots and looking forward to many more. I currently belong to the Tolcarn Observatory which is an amazing observatory with fabulous dark skies.

The observatory looks interesting.

I see the club aspect of it is expected to be in place by the end of September.

Should be dark down there at least. Do you get much light from St Austell.

Is the idea of looking into exoplanets with the University site and their facilities?

Hi & Welcome from me also. You're In a great spot , if you're unlucky enough to suffer from LP you don't have to travel far to reach the inky black stuff.

Good luck with the first aid course. The weather sucks at the moment, night sky just seems to be full of haze.
