Position markers

Recommended Posts

Is it a hard surface ? Ideally, something weatherproof is best. Once you are certain exactly where you want the marks, you could use a masonry drill to put some very shallow holes where the tripod legs go. If the surface is concrete, that works ok, but some may be bothered about defacing nice paving. I'd be ok with that myself, just do a neat job.

Make sure you pick the best spot having regard to trees, buildings & nearby lights. In gardens like mine, I often shift my scope during a session, so if that applies, you may wish to mark out more than one position.

Regards, Ed.
