Celestron Astromaster 130 EQ MD

Hi all,

I was wondering if you could help me out?

I have just bought my first scope (The Astomaster), I was just wondering what thoughts have you on the scope as a first, what I can expect to see?

Also, I have been advised by the shop to buy the Celestron lens kit, any thoughts?

We'll not even start on the mystery that is collimation.

Any help would be amazing

I think the general consensus would be to buy 1 or 2 better quality eyepieces rather than the kit, which although useful, the quality won't be as good.

Any left over could go towards a book or perhaps a collimation tool as well.

You scope is similar to the first scope I had and should offer decent views of a variety of subjects.
