Mounting ST80 to skywatcher 150p

Hi all

Hopefully the SGL community can come to the rescue.

Does anyone mount an ST80 to a 150p? How to you do it? The spare dovetail that came with my HEQ5 will fit to the top of the 150p but the holes for mounting the guide scope are only about 1" apart. Seems far too close...

Hi,

I think we either drill an extra hole, get guide rings (which you can adjust to fit anywhere), or find a different dovetail.

Also, the ST80 comes with a little plastic dovetail that you can screw onto the camera screw. A lot of people piggy-back the St80 on 150P...here are some photos that might help:
