Saturn 2nd May -RRGB and IRRGB

Here are a couple of images of Saturn. The IRRGB (left) and RRGB images exhibit different shading in the polar regions

Very nice image Peter and nice comparison with IR and R luminance - not had much luck myself with IR on Saturn this year (getting much better R channels, perhaps struggling a bit at 8" aperture), but might just give it another go if conditions allow tonight.

It is not to say that your work is not quality, but I like the RRGB better than the IR. It looks more real to me. BUT their are both nice and sharp, good job and thanks for sharing

Good captures & processing Peter, the RRGB has better colour & banding though but both are very nice.
