When the telescope is in the home position should Postion of Polaris through the polar scope be at the bottom of top? My dad has been messing and he has confused me!!??

At the moment when it's at the home position Polaris is at the top of the reticule

11.25 tonight at about 11 oclock position is ok. using polar finder.

What would be the default position!! So if I just looked through the polar scope should Polaris circle be up top or down bottom?? Sorry to be a pain everyone

You need PolarFinder.exe by Jason Dale. I think you can get it here: http://myastroimages.com/Polar_FinderScope_by_Jason_Dale/

There is no default position within the polarscope tube. The calibration is done by the adjustment of the 'Index Ring', the orientation of the reticule with reference to the RA axis is not important.
