Bootes and Corona Borealis wide field

Recommended Posts

I put the kit lens on the 450D last night and mounted it up on the EQ3-2 to take a few constellation images. Not entirely happy with this one because of the gradient. The LP wasn't visible by eye at all. I shall have to stick the LP filter on when imaging that low in the south west in future.

I started with 20 frames of two minutes each, but lost two to the ISS. They were stacked in DSS with too few darks I think. It was late by the time I finished and my body was screaming at me for sleep so I cut my dark run short.

Perhaps not the most interesting pair of constellations...

It feels a bit that way. Nearly fell asleep at my desk at about 3pm this afternoon. I'd almost welcome a cloudy night tonight :) My laptop hasn't been shut down in ages what with night-time imaging, solar and processing. I must make some time to back it up.
