Ceph and Cass

Really quite chuffed

Recommended Posts

From my location, it has a maximum altitude above my horizon of 4 degrees and 40' - and that does not take into account the flats, trees and streetlights that further limit its visibility. But with a bit of careful planning, I managed to keep it in the camera's FOV (sort of) for about 25 minutes between obstructions. I really didn't think I was ever going to be able to see it from here. Can't wait to process the image properly before uploading it, so here is a single sub of m7 - the most southerly object on messier's list. Yes, I know the LP and noise are horrible, but to me it is one of the most satisfying photographs I have taken in many a long night.

Thanks for looking.
