Southern Spain with binoculars... what's out there?

So I'm off for a week with the in-laws in a couple of days to their place in Southern Spain... they've got pretty decent skies down there and I'll be taking my beloved pair of 8x42s down for a bit of bird watching/stargazing. Last year I managed to catch up with a few of the more Southerly Messiers (Ptolemy's cluster is a little jewel!) but was wondering if there was anything else worth taking a gander at? Limiting magnitude is probably around 5, so I'm hoping to get some clear skies (atmospheric dust can be an issue down there mind). Any pointers would be very appreciated. Thanks, Andy.
