No - I wasn't there but I was told that he used a simple cigarette paper placed between

the worm gear & the drive gear. He adjusted it until the paper jammed & then backed it off till

he could just slip the paper out.

Good tip thanks for sharing, I will see if this can be done on my EQ3-2 this evening.

Let us know how you get on, would be most interested to see this! I have toyed with the idea of having a go at adjusting the backlash, but to start tinkering with a £400 + mount when you don't really know what you're doing is a measure I'm not really brave enough to try.
