M57 26 May

RC8 scope with Canon 450d. 30 x 2 lights, 20 Darks, 20 flats + Bias. Flats did not work.

Difficult subject this I found to process. Suggestions, comments, critiques very welcome.

thats really good, you have even got the dwarf at the centre, and the detail at the edges is pretty amazing too, keep it up!

Very nice image. I assume this is a guided shot? This summer I might give M57 a go with my C8 @F/6.3, but I might have to wait until I get an autoguider

Unusual marriage of a scope and a camera that really would be better on a short tube refractor or sub 500mm long FL but hey why not... it looks great with all the back ground stars, you seem to have it tuned in nicely also

Normally use the DSLR on the ED80 but gave it a whirl on my RC8 on M57 to get closer detail on it. I am quite impressed for only 2 min exposures. I have sorted the guiding out now to get longer subs - did 6 min subs a week after these, limit of a DSLR - gets too noisy.
