not a lot of progress today. I managed to clad the back of the roll off roof. This had to be done before the sheets go on as I won't be able to get there anymore after. The first sheet is also just about visible.

I also had a black chequer plate door threshold made. Just a test fit. It will go over the cladding under the door and on top of the carpet tiles.

You will find that it seems to take far longer to see progress as you get more done! Its all the fiddly jobs towards the end that really do take hours to do!

I've done the roll-off roof today. The remaining rubber sheet was just the right size! ;)

I think I have a bit too much timber left. Must have miscalculated something. I still need some 2x3" for the front door and some diagonal bracing, but not that much...

This is what it looks like now.

There won't be any further progress for a while as we are going on a well deserved 2 week holiday.

I find the worst bit is the month after completion of a project - when the credit card bill arrives.

And when you say to yourself...'I wish I would have done that bit differently...'

Looking like a nice build Chris...

I imagine everyone will come across that after their build, I certainly have. You just need to remind yourself that what you have now, however imperfect. is way better than what you had before.

I had a bit of this feeling when I found the object I was imaging disappeared behind the ROR in the west.  The next door put their flood light on and I remembered why I built the obsy that way round :D

Once the kids have grown up I'll be removing the trampoline that is next to mine, I can then make a track so my ROR can slide to the North and South giving me unobstructed views....Apart from the 60 foot willow tree which blocks out the NW that is.  Nothing a chainsaw wont sort out

Friday morning I have returned from an amazing 2 weeks in Cuba.

I've not worked on the obsy this weekend but had a look of course if everything is alright. There was a bit of water ingress at the front. Probably some water has run down the inside of the tarp. From what I can see it was very little but hadn't dried up yet. So not much to worry about I hope...

Will order the front cladding this week and hopefully start on that next weekend.

I almost forgot to post an update...

Not too much progress last weekend due to other commitments. But I did manage to build the front door. It's now all ready for the front cladding. The timber for that has been delivered yesterday.
