Just recently signed up and thought I better stop lurking and say hello.

Name is Mike and I'm in West Sussex.

Just getting back into astronomy and gathering equipment to have a go at imaging.

I'm a bit of a hobby freak, also into Hamradio, weather satellites and garden railways.

In the process of building a permanent pier and obsy to make life easier.

No doubt will be asking questions as problems arise.

Hi Mike and welcome to SGL, if you are intending to go down the imaging route, a copy of Steve Richards book "Making Every Photon Count" see FLO top of page, comes highly recommended by many of the forum members, and could well make a welcome addition to your library :)

Thanks John and James......I must get Steve's book.....it would be silly not to seeing as we

live so near each other...........he is about 3 miles from where I live.

Hi Sandy.......I am G1HWY..........not doing much radiowise these days, electrical noise

wipes out most bands here. :sad:

Anyway!

Fantastic forum thats got a mine of info.......having fun trawling through the posts.

Sure are.......already been pointed towards Steve's book, Making Every Photon Count.

It arrived today, thanks Steve, very quick delivery.

Some interesting bedtime reading coming my way. :grin:
