First shot at the moon

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Still very much learning the ropes with my new (secondhand) 150p.

on the 15th, my first opportunity to view the moon, i took the below pic with my d7000 via liveview in manual. Focus via liveview the left it to fire via the timer.

any tips the you'd be able to share? Am pretty happy as a first effort. The scope had the cover on with the small aperture exposed. No filters.

I did some tweaking in adobe lightroom (mac only). 1/30th shutter i think.

thanks, Justin

Hi james,

yep, a single image. Have just posted on your thread re your image on the 15th!

it seems that it may be possible to stack images in adobe light room, which is what i have to play with. Any advice on how thats achieved will be gratefully recieved.

thanks for the compliment, i'm happy with it but have a feeling theres a lot more detail that can be pulled out.
