Moon Map PDF?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Does anybody happen to know of any free online resources for a printable pdf or otherwise quality moon map? I use a battered A5 journal for observations, and I'm trying to get a detailed map for reference small enough to print and fasten over a double page but all the maps I have are huge.

Thanks in advance for any advice :)

It may be worth searching for maps for the Lunar 100. Some of those would print out to about the right size.

Hi,

If you have an Apple iPad, there is a free app called Globe Moon.

It is based on photos of the moon surface.

The craters etc are named on the screen.

Clicking on them gives further info on the object.

There are links to the Internet for additional information.

I hope to give it a good workout at the Cumbria Star Party ( Lunar viewing ) next week!

I would rate it 7/10.

Cheers

Adrian

"Moon Globe" rather than "Globe Moon", perhaps?
