I'm looking to join a local club!! I'm a complete novice and just purchased my first scope writhin the last week!!

I'm from Tredegar so would love to join a club close to home

keep an eye on the welsh section for the date of our next meet but summer is making it hard, astro dark is so late this time of the year

Hi Matt, welcome aboard, from another South Wales member.

We are more of a group rather than a club. Our meets are informal observing sessions

where we get together at the radio towers near Blaenavon. Its a dark site, and the location

is a reasonable driving distance for most of us. We all have varying levels of experience,

share information, have a look through each others scopes, discuss equipment, and have

a good time observing if the weather cooperates.

I've bought the skywatcher explorer 200p eq5 mount and the dual axis motor; I'm hoping its a decent scope fingers crossed!! Not seen anything through it yet though !! Cloud been a nightmare
