Have you seen the incoming rain for you?

There is a BIG block aimed right at the West Midlands.

Look's like my first night scanning the skies is magnified rain clouds then

Clear skies down here....for the first time in 7 days..

Enjoy your new 'scope...

Get back to me when those 7 days turn into weeks/months. :D

Still, at least we don't have to contend with the roaring forties here in the uk............but I'll swap ya.

Welcome. I use the Nightwatch book all the time. I like the charts which are uncluttered but show enough to locate the best objects. The notes next to them give just enough detail so that you know what to expect. There is a lot of support for Turn Left at Orion on the forum, but I find I use Nightwatch more and recommend it

.......and no mention of the weather!

The forecast for tonight here in sunny Brum is quite optimistic, 25% cloud and good visibility. Just keep a bin bag handy to cover your scope if there's a shower.

I'm sure you will get some good views with that scope, enjoy it. Let us know how you get on.
