Bit hazy here anyway.

I went out in the garden for a bit, but about 1030 it started to get hazy here as well.

Looking on the forecast we might be in for some clear skies. I appreciate people usually have plans on Saturday night, but if anyone fancies it... Might be the last chance before the moon starts to get in the way.

I have strong winds and dark clouds over leatherhead way....

And I now have rain, lighter clouds and a gorgeous reddy orange glow where the sun is going down... I'll be amazedif this all clears up enough for a nights viewing...

Looking at sat24 I find it difficult to believe as well!

Well if it does happen maybe I'll just set my scope up in the back garden.

I want to see M95+M96 before Leo starts getting too low, so I'm really hoping we do get some clear sky.

It was pretty good in the end. Excellent clarity. M57 was stunning and I could make out spiral arms in m51.

Had heavy rain last night but when it cleared the sky was very clear, often the way after a good downpour. Sounds like you had a great night. Spiral structure is what I'm aiming for. Glad you are enjoying the dob.
