Celestron Luminos vs. Televue Nagler vs. Explore Scientific 82 for EdgeHD Celestron 8"?

Recommended Posts

Greetings all,

I have set my eyes on a Celestron EdgeHD 8", which comes with a 40mm Plossl if I am not mistaken. I was told that when it comes to eyepieces, Televue is the best and not to consider anything else as it's the eyepiece that "makes the scope". So as I was doing a little research I came across names like Nagler and found them to be expensive (I like the wide field idea). Then with Televue, Ethos... Delos... Sheesh... I was told Explore Scientific is the next best alternative to Televue.

Since the EdgeHD is wide, I think I should stick with wide. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
