Canon 1100d raw files with deep sky stacker

Hi,

I've used APT all evening, recording RAW files from my 1100d.

I can see the photos clearly in preview on APT. When I try to import them into DSS, they're small and I can't see anything on them. Also, when they stack its just a couple of blurred stars.

I'm doing something wrong! Should I avoid RAW files or is something changing from viewing in APT?

I feel like tearing my hair out!!

You do need to use RAW files my 1100D files work fine i am using DSS Version 3.3.3 Beta 47

Is it showing just a long thin strip from the middle of the picture? If so, its a problem with dss, updating to a newer version fixes it.

For the Canon 1100d you need DSS 3.3.4

Also check if you were stacking the png thumbnails instead of the jpegs, but as said above simply use the raw files with the latest version of it
