prime focus with sky watcher explorer 200p?

ive been reading some reflector telescopes are unable to reach prime focus with a dslr, the problem being not enough inward travel on the focuser, i have a skywatcher explorer 200p and was wondering if it will be ok with my scope as im getting a dslr camera soon, anyone know anything about this?

All u need is a t-ring to connect the camera to the scope & it'll be fine. I use the 200p Explorer too & have no problem with focus.

I have used a Nikon and now use a Canon 1000d with my Blue tube 200p that I have had since 2003.

The 1.25 inch drawtube unscrews and reveals a T-thread for the camera T-ring to screw on to.

I can't speak for the 200P, but the 130P has a similar problem. I've been looking and found that moving the mirror up the tube a little apparently helps. I've not done it yet but I am planning to move my mirror up the tube by putting in some longer collimation screws.

I reach prime focus with my 200P no problem, w/ all my cameras (CCD DSLR).

200p f/5 works fine with canon 1100d. can't comment on any other camera or the 200p f/6 though.

Fits and focussing is ok...remove the 2" to 1.25 step down on focusser and fit camera t ring to focusser ...Davy
