White light Sun, 27th April

Bit of a fearsome day for imaging today. Plenty of sunshine, but clouds whizzing across the sky and a cold gusty wind that made it quite unpleasant to be outside without a coat regardless of the sun. I kicked off an imaging run and discovered that a fair few weren't even fully in the frame because of the movement of the telescope so did a second run straight afterwards and processed the lot.

So, 240 images of 1/1000th @ ISO100 with the 450D/127 Mak, preprocessed using PIPP. I dropped the cloudy ones and those where the image wasn't entirely in the frame and stacked 50% of what was left using Registax v6 at a quality level of better than 98%. Despite the conditions I'm actually really pleased with the result. I think it's possibly one of my better ones.
