White light Sun, 26th April

First one in three weeks, I think The sky was promising this morning, but never cleared enough to make it worth going out and setting up. Over lunchtime however the cloud broke up a fair bit more and left only the gusting wind to contend with (insert your own joke here).

Caught the new/old AR near one limb, whilst the one everyone else seems to have been excitedly imaging over the last few weeks that I last saw just as it came around the eastern limb is now right on the very edge of the western one Can't complain about the amount of activity at the moment though.

120 frames of 1/1000th @ ISO100 with the 450D/127 Mak. Preprocessed using PIPP and dropped 20 because of darkening in the image causing stacking problems. The rest went through Registax v6 and I stacked 51.

Looks like a satellite image of UK over the last three weeks . . . with thunderstorms over Borders , London , Wales and Lincolnshire . . .
