Calling all astronomers. Please help

Hello everyone

Please could you take one minute to read this.

Sheffield Astronomical Society is set to lose its current venue as the Sheffield council budget starts to bite. The venue is located on the edge of Sheffield towards the Peak District and offers a great escape from the dreaded light pollution of the city centre. SAS have set up an e-petition on the council website and everyone would really appreciate it if you could take a minute to help get astronomy the recognition it deserves in Sheffield.

Me too. However, the council might well reject any votes from those of us who do not live within their boundary.

Good point Nigel but the argument back to the council would be that people travel to different venues so anyone with an interest is a potential visitor at some point in the future.
