First Crack At M45

Had a first crack at M45 with my brand new QHY8 (bye bye holiday pay).

Blustery winds didn't help the guiding and the neighbours security light and the sky glow from Huddersfield didn't help much either. :x

Dodgeing the clouds aswell.

7X300 sec subs. Williams Optics Zenithstar + QHY8. Piggybacked Meade LX90 8inch . Guided with DSI-2 and K3CCD.

Stacked in MaximDl , light pollution reduction ( Noels Tools ) and a bit of curves.

Nowt like jumping in with both feet , gonna have loads of fun with this camera and a bit of hair tearing out shennanigans.

Oh yeah cant seem to get any nebulosity , its in the data , but when i convert to colour the orange glow seems to wipe it out.

heehee lots to learn.

Guiding look very good Mark, nice round stars , yup a whole new learning curve i guess, have a word with SteveL , he seems to have got that camera cracked, should be able to pull loads of nebulosity with that one .
