If I got my telescope out, what could I see tonight?

Does what it says on the tin.

So far clear sky's tonight.

Over the last couple of weeks I have tried to spot Saturn but its too low in my garden and can only be viewed through the bedroom window. Not exactly a good location for the telescope.

Get it out now fella, the moon is going down (and it's very nice indeed)

Try to pick up the comet pannstars below Cassiopeia in the west

Probably best to point stellarium in the area you have the best view of, that would give you a good idea of where to go. The moon might be a little bright now but if you can find Jupiter at around 9.30 pm you should be able to see the V of Taurus pretty close - follow the right hand "horn" vertically upwards and eventually you will hit a whole host of open star clusters M36-39 I believe.

Stellarium is probably the best place to start though
