ive been looking for a t adapter for when i get my new dslr and ive come across the Canon M48 T Ring Adaptor, im just wondering if you could use a 2" light pollution filter between this and the adapter that fits to the scope as its the same thread and diameter, has anybody tried this, would it cause any problems with focusing.

You need the SW Canon M48 adaptor when connecting to the SW FF/FR on the ED80/100/120.

Otherwise a normal Canon t-adaptor and one of these is all that's needed. . . . http://www.firstlightoptics.com/adaptors/flo-2-inch-t-mount-camera-adapter.html

If you want to use 2" filters with the first set-up you'll need this . . . http://www.firstlightoptics.com/adaptors/flo-adapter-for-skywatcher-focal-reducers.html . . . as the FF/FR screws directly onto the focuser tube.

sorry, should have explained a bit more, the scope i have is a celestron c8, at the moment i connect my camera using this http://www.firstlightoptics.com/adaptors/celestron-sct-t-adapter.html to a t ring

so with the m48 adapter it would go like this...... 600d-->m48 t mount---> 2" lpr filter--->m48 to t adapter step down ring--->celestron sct t adapter--->scope

are you sure? this is the step down ring i was talking about and if you look at the other picture there is a m48 mount with filter attatched to it and step down ring attatched to that http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M48-x-0-75mm-to-M42-x-0-75mm-adapter-2-to-T-thread-mount-48mm-42mm-adapter-ring-/111038311488?pt=UK_Photography_Telescopes&hash=item19da662c40

Not seen one of those . . . should work . . . all the weight will be taken on the filter threads though. . .

2" filters fit inside the M48 adaptor but this doesn't allow it to fit the ff/fr , sorry for the cross purposes bit.

Imaging wise I'd do with the C8 what I did with my Mak180Pro , fit a Revelation 2" DS SCT focuser . . . ( http://www.rothervalleyoptics.co.uk/revelation-sct-crayford-focuser-dual-speed_d5289.html) . . . the focus control on a Mak or SCT by moving the mirror is too coarse in my opinion

The Revelation focusers are very good , well made bits of kit and a great price . . .

They might not come in trendy colour schemes like some but work exceedingly well for an awful lot less than the dayglo jobbies . . .

Hark ! . . . is that the sound of incoming flak from the ML fan club . . . .

It's very well made and very smooth .

Not had any slippage problems with the 1000D hanging off it , even when vertical.

It's exactly the same as the Skywatcher after-market focuser but a tenner cheaper with the Revelation logo ?

I especially like the rotation ring at the front end that allows you to spin the camera for framing/aligning.

There's a video of it here . . . http://www.astronomyshed.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=11678

I've never used a M'lite so can't compare the two directly , but it's a great bit of kit , highly recommended for those who want a massive improvement over the stock SW focusers and are on a budget.
