Hi Alan, sorry I missed your post a couple of days ago. To be honest, I have not used the Meade 28mm in anger as yet, but looking forward to using it. Until now I have avoided the Meade's as I didn't like the ramped up, heavy casings, but I stand to be converted. With ep purchase I have drifted from one design to another, hence I have an over-large collection of ep's, some of which I have up for sale locally. However, having tried the ES recently I am really impressed with the two I have (11mm & 14mm). Ergonomically they are nice and compact and do not boast heavy thick casings, they are really nice to use.
