Celestron CG5 GT Mount 2.1 mm plug

Recommended Posts

Hi, think I might need to replace the power cable for my CG5 mount - a quick search on ebay for "2.1 mm DC power cable" has thrown up these 2.1 mm plugs with screw plate mounts which would making a lead much easier given crappy soldering skills!

One of the inner pins in my mount socket broke many moons ago but as the mount is spare I have soldiered on and will wait till the other one breaks before doing any remedial work.

Google "Astronomiser" - very good astro website that does all sort of Canon and webcam camera mods (and sales) - including cables for all popular mounts, cable extenders (parallel / serial / usb), and connectors and flexi cables. All gear is guaranteed to work with astronomy equipment - you pay a little more than Maplins or fleaBay but heck it all works - I've used them a lot - highly recommended. Hth :)
