Jupiter 2nd april Saturn 3rd

Braved the cold again last night it looked nice & clear, but seeing was not great at least managed a few runs on Jupiter & saturn! Thanks for looking!

Nice views Simon. Visually I found the seeing was great for Jupiter but had deteriorated by the early hours for Saturn and I couldn't clearly see the detail that your image show.

My settings were 15fps-1/15 exp- gain around the 900 mark using By8 Rgb24!

excellent thats exactly what i used I think i am starting to get the hang of this camera will process my avi's tonight and hopefully post them up later

Thanks Theo Its certainly hard going on Saturn at the moment, but extra aperture is going to pay off on dim saturn this year im sure of that.

im no expert on codecs Stuart but I beleive It is uncompressed, but the file size is a lot bigger than using yuy2-rgb24 option.

Ive tried runs on both codecs but find im producing better images with this combination!

The jupiter shot is really quite nice, especially being so late. I think youve done very well on that. Processing nice too. Saturn you can only deliver what the conditions will let you. So will need calmer air for better. The Jupiter shot is the best result by far Simon, some nice fine detail lurking in there.
