M74 on a windy night

What a beautiful clear sky last night, but what a wind to go with it :D

Having a 'roll-off-roof' obsy, I really struggled with the windy conditions, and ended up with the obsy floor covered in leaves. :D

However, when it comes to clear skies, "waste not want not, so I left the 'dew shield' off to reduce the effect of the strong wind, and had a go at M74.

Quite a small one this, and not too bright, at mag 9+. Not the best result, but better than none at all.

12" LX200R + f/6.3 FR, SXVF-H9C and 15x600 sec subs.

Wow Dave, nice image under any condition. I had thought about trying this one until I saw details of your Kit and the time involved. It might be too small & faint for my 8" in Alt/Az. You have a really nice capture of a Spiral.
