Recommended Posts

Here is a bracket I have made to hold a red dot finder to my 20 × 80 giant bins :) now I can do some serious star hopping to find more deep sky objects :)

Very nice, i have the same mount type bins, can you buy the bracket and finder like that, the only ones i have seen is the ones that bolt on the front of the bins.

I bought the dot finder separately. My local machine shop made a stainless steel plate the same diameter as the finder case, then they welded 2 m6 stainless steel bolts to it. All for a 10 quid drink :) i ordered 2 m6 thumb nuts off eBay and some flat rubber from local diy shop and glued it both sides so it didn't damage the support bar on the bins themselves :)

I love my dot finders. I use them on everything . I recently bought a universal one to fix to my 8" reflector as well :)
