It's interesting to see what we got considering we were all within a few feet of each other... You did a much better job on the comet shots Kev(s) I like your HDR treatment and BC's Timelapse... With the benefit of hindsight I should have shot bracketed exposures at Higher ISO...

Great images! PanSTARRS was a real treat on Sunday night :)

I've posted these elsewhere, but thought I'd post them here too...

Very brief, hazy clear sky on Friday night:

Slighty less brief, less hazy clear sky on Saturday night:

My first attempt at solar imaging (room for improvement!):

A quick PI registration (no registax!) combine using two sets of 10 images as HDR then small sharpen of the white light before the clouds rolled in:

I'll have a play with a little drizzle and more frames soon :)

Is it me or does one of the spots hint at some arching?

These were my best 2 attempts, i was having a balance issue which Mark helped me solve and my guiding issue which Rob helped me with so they arent perfect, i have a little rotation in there as well. That said its by far my best to date.

Both need a lot more data then i got aswell.

So i present M42 & NGC2903

Getting better (Slowly)

We felt our new tent was appropriately named for the event:

Feel a bit silly now worrying about getting the car and tent onto the pitch as I think we had about the smallest tent there!
