Hi all,

My intention: Go to NEAF and pick up a mono camera for cheap dollars.

My wish: Get a FLI or SBIG KAF16803 with 65mm unmounted Astrodon filters in a 5-7 position filter wheel.

Can I do this?

No.

OK, it's simple, I don't have the money. Nor do I have the scope to cover the CCD. Or the skills to process...

So a second plan is in the making that involves a grab and go setup. The iOptron never sold, so that will form the back bone of this mobile rig, topped with a reduced SW ED80 for trips to darker sites.

I'm asking for advice on what to potentially get. The bar is set by something like a SBIG with built in 36mm filter wheel and built in guider in front of the filters.

What can you recommend me? And at what CCD size would a reduced ED80 top out?

I'm really interested in a self guided package with built in filter wheels, but I'm in unknown territory and don't know what I'm talking about. Any mono CCD's to avoid?

Appreciate any input!

/Jesper
